WATERFORD, CT (February 5, 2013) --- Waterford Hotel Group recently appointed Chris Chiappa to the position of General Manager at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Waterford, CT. The 80-room property is professionally managed by Waterford Hotel Group, Inc., a national hotel and convention center management firm.
Chiappa joins the SpringHill team from his most recent position as Operations Manager for the Courtyard by Marriott in Cromwell, CT. In his new role as General Manager for SpringHill Suites Waterford, Chiappa will oversee all operational, sales and administrative aspects of the hotel. His prior experience includes positions within several Waterford Hotel Group managed properties, including Front Office Manager for the Residence Inn by Marriott in Hartford, CT and Guest Services Representative at the Courtyard by Marriott in Norwich, CT.

Chiappa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Foodservice Management from the University of New Hampshire.
